It took ages, and during that time I could see the free space/used space ratio shifting constantly on the windows disk while it's been incrementing on the other target disk where Kontakt Library was supposed to be downloaded. I cleaned up the disk and when I had 12 GB freed up I tried again and this time it worked. I had 7GB left on my windows disk, which should be good enough to swap anything, but it wasn't. Therefore, if you don't have enough space left on C:\, you'll be stuck in a download loop until the program fails. Turns out that it is because the file is quite huge (23GB) and even though you set Native Access to download stuff in a specific location, it will still use your cache in C:\ (or whatever your default drive is) before it moves data across to the location you specified. Kontakt Factory Library was an automatic fail for me right at the download stage. Okay so I came here to report the same error initially. NI support - please do something about this and show your customers some real customer care.

We're not pirates, we're musicians who've paid for our software - please stop punishing us for your paranoia.
It's not rocket science, guys when this many people are posting this error, there's something wrong with your system. I began with various elements from Komplete 7 (almost $750 worth), upgraded to Komplete 8 standard (for $300), then to Komplete 10 Ultimate (for another $500), and for the amount of money I've spent, you would think they would at least provide the files on another file server for download. Native Access is just bad software, plain and simple, and someone should be correcting the error, not brushing off customers who've spent thousands of dollars keeping the most current version of NI. I've tried every experimental fix they've thrown at me, and none of them work.

I found that you can keep clicking on "Failed" (it changes to "Retry" when your mouse floats over it) until the download completes and the install finishes, but this only works for certain of the upgrades.Ĭustomer Support has tried blaming it on my computer, then on my internet connection, and most recently on my firewall.
